URL Access to launch Report Manager's ReportViewer.aspx instead of ReportViewer control?

I have a feature idea for this project - instead of showing report results in the ReportViewer control, just show the parameter controls, with a big "View Report" button or similar. When clicked, that would popup a new browser window and run the report against Report Manager or SharePoint, using URL Access to pass the parameters etc. You could even pass the render format or other settings.

The advantage would be that the ReportViewer control seems a bit forgotten and ignored by Microsoft - whereas URL Access can take advantage of the latest performance and functionality improvements, caching, snapshots etc available on the Report Manager or SharePoint server.
