Problem running reports

description

Hi,

I have been trying to configure CrissCross to work on my reports.
I am running the IIS through the machine my DB for the reports is in.

I set the web.config to ImpersonateLoggedOnUser ="true" and identity impersonate="true" as insturcted.

When running the application I get an error message (attached in scrreenshot1).
I am able to view the reports through "Reports List" button and also view the reports parameters (example attached in screenshot2).

The problem is when clicking the "Run Report" button which directs again to the error page.

Also attached is the ELMAH log file and the log file from the App_Data folder.

I would appreciate any help...

Thanks!
Aviv

Hi Aviv,

I looked through the Log.txt you provided. One of the errors is:

"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

I think you have forgotten to correctly set some of the web.config settings.

CrissCross will only try to connect to the SQL Server directly if you have crisscross.UseReportHistory turned on in the web.config. You should either:
set crisscross.UseReportHistory to "false"
OR
set the ConnectionString ReportServerDb with a valid connection to the ReportServer database on the SSRS server (see https://crisscross.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=web.config%20settings&referringTitle=Documentation)

Give that a try, hope it helps.
